Do you have trouble planning your weekly menus? Are you making what feels like the same meals every week? Never fear! We are here to help! Each week (hopefully), we will have a great meal plan ready to go for you.
Meals are planned for a family of four- if your family is full of big eaters, you may need to buy extra
You can always adjust if you don’t like something we have planned
We are planning 5 dinners- for the last two days try using leftovers on one day, and maybe eating out on the last day. Also, life happens, and you don’t always get to every meal. Planning 5 meals works perfectly for my family.
Most likely, you will have some of these items in your stockpile already, so you will save even more! This is a “from-scratch” list.

Things to have on hand:
pizza seasoning or oregano
Sloppy Joes, Fries, Cole Slaw
Bake fries according to package while you make the sloppy joes. Brown one pound of ground beef, drain. Add 1/2 c. ketchup, 1/8 c. mustard, and 1/8 c. brown sugar. Simmer. For the coleslaw, save the 12 outer leaves for cabbage rolls, and use the inner part of the cabbage to make coleslaw. Use this dressing recipe for the coleslaw. If you can make the coleslaw earlier in the day or the night before, the flavors will have more time to blend.
Cabbage Rolls, Mashed Potatoes, and Peas
I have made these cabbage rolls many times. They are time consuming to prep, so make this on a day you don’t have to work or have extra time. Use the recipe found here. Make mashed potatoes the way you usually do. Make the peas according to package right before you eat.
Hashbrowns, Eggs, Bacon, and Yogurt
Make hash browns the way you usually do (shredded, diced, etc.). If you have extra cheese from the pizza bagels top your hashbrowns with that. Use some of the onion in your hash browns also. If you make this before the cabbage rolls, save one egg to make those.
Pizza Bagels, Blueberries, Sliced Cukes
For the pizza bagels, top with sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and either pizza seasoning or oregano. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Slice the cucumber and top with a teeny bit of lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Serve with blueberries. This meal may be simple, but if you are in a hurry, you will be glad to have it!
Chicken Legs, Herbed Rice, and Asparagus
Use half of the chicken legs. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano. Or if you have a spice blend on hand like McCormick, Webber, or Penzeys, use that instead. Grill or bake your chicken legs. While they are cooking, use this recipe to make herbed rice (cut the recipe in half). Make asparagus how you usually like it. Enjoy!
Side note: You will have 1 lb of ground beef and 1/2 pack of chicken legs leftover to use for next week’s meals!! You may have potatoes and a bagel or two left also!
